Carve Wood Private Server Guide: Robux Cost, Set-up, and Is It Worth It

Carve Wood on Roblox supports Roblox’s standard private server feature. A private server gives you a private lumber yard, configurable max-players, friend-only access, and full control over when the server resets. This page covers the monthly Robux cost, the per-player settings, the differences from a public server, and the build that benefits most from a private server.

Note: this page is the buyer’s guide for the Roblox private server feature. For the Lua-script auto-farm setup that uses a private server, see the Private server setup page in the scripts hub.

The Robux cost

The Carve Wood private server costs 100 Robux per month. The cost is charged in advance at the start of each 30-day window. There is no prorated refund if you cancel mid-month.

The 100 Robux is roughly the cost of a tier-1 to tier-2 axe upgrade in real-money terms. For a player who plays 5 or more hours per week, the private server pays back inside the first month from the customer bonus boost alone.

How to buy the private server

The verified flow on Roblox:

  1. Open Carve Wood on Roblox.
  2. Tap the Servers button on the game page (not the in-game menu).
  3. Tap Create Private Server.
  4. Name the server and confirm the 100 Robux charge.
  5. The server appears under your Servers list. Tap it to launch.

Friends can join only if you set the server access to Friends Only or Public (your choice). Private servers are invisible to random players by default.

Server settings worth changing

The default settings are fine for most players, but three settings are worth a second look:

  • Max players. The default is 6. For a solo player, set it to 2 (you + one friend) to avoid the join-spam that public servers occasionally get. The customer spawn rate scales with max-players, so going above 6 is rarely useful.
  • Server reset cadence. The default is no auto-reset. For a save that you want to keep across sessions, leave it alone. For a build that uses the Private server setup scripts, set the auto-reset to weekly so the script gets a fresh lumber yard every Sunday.
  • Friend-only access. On by default. Leave it on unless you are running a community build or trading with strangers.

Differences from a public server

A private server behaves almost identically to a public server, with three small differences:

  1. No public join button. Random players cannot drop into your lumber yard. The customer spawn rate is the same, but the random-event cadence is slightly slower.
  2. Daily login streak still counts. As long as you load a public server at least once every 48 hours, the streak stays alive. Private-server-only logins do not extend the streak on their own.
  3. Custom spawn point. The lumber yard spawn is consistent across reloads in a private server. In a public server, the spawn point shifts each session.

What a private server is good for

A private server is most useful for three scenarios:

  1. Lua-script auto-farm. The Private server setup scripts only run cleanly in a private server because the auto-farm assumes a stable lumber yard. Running the same scripts on a public server triggers anti-cheat kicks.
  2. Multiplayer with friends. Two or three friends playing together in a private server get the same customer bonuses as a public server, with no random-event interruptions.
  3. Screenshot and video capture. A private server has no public chatter, so the footage is clean. The wiki’s video guides are captured this way.

A private server is not useful for chasing the Top richest players leaderboard, because the leaderboard pulls from public-server totals. Private server cash does not count toward the wealth ranking.

When it is NOT worth the 100 Robux

A private server is not worth the monthly cost for casual players who log in less than 3 times per week. The customer bonus boost and the daily login streak both work on public servers, and the only meaningful advantage of a private server is the auto-farm script support.

The break-even math: a private server pays back if the auto-farm scripts generate at least 100 Robux worth of in-game progress per month. For most players, the auto-farm scripts do not exceed 100 Robux worth of in-game value per month. So the private server is really a convenience purchase, not a profit purchase.
