Carve Wood Wiki Carve Wood Rebirth Calculator
Project the multiplier, the break-even time, and the best moment to reset for a Carve Wood save.
The rebirth system in Carve Wood on Roblox is the largest single multiplier in the game, and the right moment to reset is the difference between a save that compounds and a save that stalls. This page walks through the math behind the Rebirth calculator, the inputs it expects, and the rebuild path that maximises the multiplier per hour spent.
Note: the rebirth calculator is a tool — it does not edit your save. The calculator takes the inputs you give it and projects the multiplier you will earn at each rebirth tier, the break-even time for the reset, and the expected cash-per-hour for the next 30 days of play. Use the Rebirth guide for the in-game process.
Inputs the calculator expects
The calculator is a static page on the wiki. You provide five inputs:
- Current cash. Your current wallet total in cash.
- Axe tier. 1 (Common Oak Hatchet) through 6 (Legendary Ironwood Cleaver).
- Worker count. 0 through 5 (full roster).
- Pet count. 0 through 6 slots filled.
- Current rebirth tier. 0 (untouched save) through 5 (endgame).
The calculator then projects:
- Next-rebirth multiplier. The cash-per-hour boost you will earn on the next reset.
- Break-even time. How many hours of play are required for the next-rebirth multiplier to repay the cash you spent on the current save.
- 30-day cash projection. Total cash earned over the next 30 days if you reset now.
The multiplier table
The Carve Wood rebirth multiplier, by tier:
| Tier | Multiplier | Reset cash cost | Break-even at 1,000 cash/hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1.25x | 5,000 cash | 20 hours |
| 2 | 1.50x | 25,000 cash | 50 hours |
| 3 | 1.85x | 90,000 cash | 106 hours |
| 4 | 2.30x | 250,000 cash | 167 hours |
| 5 | 2.85x | 600,000 cash | 257 hours |
The break-even column assumes a base cash-per-hour of 1,000. Players with higher cash-per-hour (full worker roster + tier-5 axe + Mythic pet) see shorter break-even times; players with lower cash-per-hour see longer ones.
The optimal moment to reset
The optimal moment to reset is when the cash you have already spent on the current save is less than the break-even cost. The rule of thumb:
- Reset tier 1 immediately. The 5,000 cash cost is recouped in roughly 20 hours. Almost every save should rebirth into tier 1 inside the first week.
- Wait for the first worker hire before tier 2. The break-even for tier 2 is 50 hours, which is much shorter for players with the Apprentice Logger online.
- Wait for the tier-4 axe before tier 3. The 90,000 cash cost for tier 3 is heavy, and the break-even drops to roughly 60 hours for players with the Epic Birchblade Pro.
- Wait for the full worker roster before tier 4. The 250,000 cash cost is recouped faster if the worker roster is compounding your chop speed.
- Wait for the Mythic pet before tier 5. The 600,000 cash cost is the largest in the game; the Mythic pet cuts the break-even by roughly a third.
The rebuild path after reset
The fastest rebuild path after a rebirth is:
- Tutorial → Oak Hatchet. 5 minutes.
- Oak Hatchet + Apprentice Logger → 1,000 cash. 30 minutes.
- Tier-2 axe + second worker → 5,000 cash. 2 hours.
- Tier-3 axe → 25,000 cash (rebirth-2 threshold). 8 hours.
- Repeat to tier-4 and tier-5 thresholds. Roughly 30 hours total to reach the tier-5 break-even.
Players who follow this rebuild path consistently out-earn players who grind without rebirthing, because the multiplier compounds across every worker chop and every customer sale.
Common mistakes
The most common mistakes, in order of frequency:
- Rebirthing too early. A rebirth at 1,000 cash on a fresh save is wasted. Wait until you can afford the next tier’s reset cost.
- Rebirthing too late. Players who grind to 500,000 cash on a tier-1 save lose roughly 100,000 cash of compounded income that a tier-3 rebirth would have generated.
- Forgetting the rebuild path. The post-rebirth rebuild takes 5 to 30 hours, depending on the tier. Players who do not plan for it spend the first week below their pre-rebirth cash-per-hour.
- Spending the multiplier cash on cosmetics. The reset cash is meant to fund the next build, not a decoration.
When the multiplier table shifts
The rebirth multiplier table moves with every balance patch. The Update log page tracks every change, and the What to expect next page tracks the predicted direction of the next patch. The calculator updates whenever the table moves.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
What does the Carve Wood rebirth calculator do?
It projects the next-rebirth multiplier, the break-even time, and the 30-day cash projection for any combination of cash, axe tier, worker count, pet count, and current rebirth tier.
When is the best time to rebirth in Carve Wood?
When your current cash is less than the break-even cost for the next tier. Tier 1 should happen inside the first week; tier 5 should happen after the Mythic pet is earned.
Does the calculator edit my save?
No. The calculator is a static tool. It only projects numbers; the actual reset is done in-game via the Rebirth button.
How often does the multiplier table change?
The multiplier table moves with every balance patch. The [Update log](/updates/update-log/) page tracks every change.
