Are Carve Wood Game Passes Worth It on Roblox?

Carve Wood on Roblox sells game passes through the developer product page. Each pass unlocks a permanent perk for your Roblox account, and the developer keeps roughly 70% of every Robux sale after the 30% marketplace cut that Roblox applies. Most Carve Wood passes cost between 99 R$ and 399 R$, which puts them in impulse-buy range. The question for most players is whether any of them actually pay for themselves in cash-per-hour, or whether the perks are cosmetic. The answer is mixed — two passes are worth it for any active player, one pass is worth it for whale builds, and the rest are cosmetic.

Every Carve Wood game pass

The Carve Wood developer store currently lists the following passes:

  • VIP Lobby — 99 R$. Cosmetic lobby flair, an avatar aura, and an in-yard banner that shows your VIP status.
  • 2x Starter Cash — 149 R$. Doubles the cash you start every save with. Permanent across rebirths.
  • Auto-Sell — 249 R$. Automatically sells the first log in your inventory the moment a paying customer spawns. Does not stack with the customer bonus round.
  • 2x Worker Speed — 299 R$. Doubles every worker’s chop rate. Stacks with the rebirth multiplier on workers.
  • VIP Server — 399 R$. Private server access for you and your friends. Bypasses the public-server queue.
  • Instant Rebirth Token — 199 R$. Resets your save instantly without waiting for the milestone. Cosmetic only — does not change the multiplier.

The math behind each pass is below.

2x Starter Cash: 149 R$

2x Starter Cash is the cheapest meaningful pass for any active player. The 149 R$ fee is the developer’s revenue after the cut, which is about 209 R$ gross. Doubling your starting cash on every save means you reach the Master Logger threshold in half the time, which compounds across every rebirth. A player who buys this pass and rebirths three times will earn back the 149 R$ cost in saved chop time within the first three saves.

This is the only pass that pays for itself for an F2P player. If you can only buy one pass, buy this one.

2x Worker Speed: 299 R$

2x Worker Speed is the second-best pass for any player who already owns the Foreman. Doubling every worker’s chop rate stacks multiplicatively with the Foreman’s passive +5% bonus, which means a player with both perks earns roughly 3.2x the chop rate of a player with neither. For whale builds that target the Top richest players leaderboard, this pass is mandatory.

For casual players, the pass breaks even on time saved within about five saves. If you play every day and rarely miss a session, the math works. If you play twice a week, the saved chop time is too small to justify the cost.

VIP Lobby: 99 R$

VIP Lobby is cosmetic only. The lobby flair, the avatar aura, and the in-yard banner are visual flexes that do not change cash, chop rate, or any multiplier. The 99 R$ fee is the cheapest pass for the smallest return.

Buy this pass if you want to flex on other players in the public yard. Skip it if you only care about the money loop.

Auto-Sell: 249 R$

Auto-Sell is the trap pass. The pass automatically sells the first log in your inventory the moment a customer spawns, which sounds useful until you realize that:

  • Auto-Sell does not stack with the customer bonus round. If Auto-Sell fires during a 2x to 5x round, the log sells at the standard rate because the script triggers before the bonus is calculated.
  • Auto-Sell forces you to sell log-by-log, which removes the bank discipline covered in the Customer bonus guide.
  • Auto-Sell makes the active money loop worse, not better.

The 249 R$ fee is high for a perk that actively reduces your cash-per-hour. Skip Auto-Sell unless you are buying it for the novelty.

VIP Server: 399 R$

VIP Server is the whale pass. Private servers let you and your party skip the public-server queue, which is the single biggest time-saver for any player running a multi-hour session during peak Roblox hours. The 399 R$ fee breaks even on time saved within about ten hours of active play if the public queue regularly adds ten minutes or more to your session start.

For casual players, the public queue is not a meaningful bottleneck. For whale builds and creators recording Carve Wood content, the VIP server is the pass that actually changes the day-to-day experience. Pair it with the Private Server Guide on the wiki for the optimal pass setup.

Instant Rebirth Token: 199 R$

Instant Rebirth Token is the cosmetic-pass that masquerades as a perk. The token resets your save instantly without waiting for the milestone, which sounds useful — until you realize that the milestone is the gate that determines the multiplier value. Rebirthing before the milestone does not give you the maximum bonus. The token is functionally the same as quitting and rejoining the game, which costs zero Robux.

How to buy passes

Passes are bought through the in-game store or via the Carve Wood developer product page on Roblox. The pass attaches to your Roblox account, not your in-game save, which means a single purchase covers all of your future saves and all of your future Roblox accounts on the same wallet. The How to redeem page covers the redemption flow for codes (which use a similar wallet-attach mechanism).

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

Which Carve Wood pass is worth buying?

2x Starter Cash (149 R$) is the only pass that pays for itself for an F2P player. 2x Worker Speed (299 R$) is mandatory for whale builds targeting the leaderboard. The rest are cosmetic or actively harmful to the money loop.

Does Auto-Sell break the bonus round?

Yes. Auto-Sell fires the moment a customer spawns, which is before the bonus multiplier is calculated. The log sells at the standard rate, not the bonus rate. Skip Auto-Sell if you play the customer bonus loop.

Do passes reset on rebirth?

No. Passes are attached to your Roblox account, not your save. A single purchase covers every save and every future Roblox account on the same wallet.

Why is the marketplace cut 30%?

Roblox charges a 30% cut on every Robux transaction. A 299 R$ pass costs you 299 R$ and pays the developer about 209 R$. The cut is non-negotiable and applies to every pass on the platform.
