Carve Wood Wiki Known Bugs and Bug-Fix Changelog for Carve Wood on Roblox
Every verified bug, the current workaround, and which patch is expected to fix it.
Carve Wood on Roblox has shipped under three titles since launch — the original ‘Carve Wood!’, ‘Carve Wood! [BUG FIXES]’, and the current ‘Carve Wood! [UPDATE]’. The two title shifts are the developer’s way of marking when a bug-fix patch has gone live. Most of the bugs that survived the patches are edge cases around the rebirth system, the customer bonus timer, and the worker AI. This page tracks the live list of known issues, the current workaround for each, and the bug-fix changelog from the most recent patches.
Currently known bugs
There are six verified bugs in Carve Wood on Roblox as of the most recent patch. The list is updated whenever a new patch ships, and verified from player reports and the Update log page.
- Rebirth milestone counter shows -1. Some players hit the milestone before the rebirth button unlocks. The button greys out until the counter reaches zero. Workaround: complete one full chop cycle and the counter corrects itself.
- Customer bonus round timer desyncs on private servers. The 30-second window timer occasionally skips forward by 5 to 10 seconds on VIP servers. Workaround: sell the moment the icon flashes gold rather than waiting for the timer to count down.
- Worker idle when player is offline. Workers sometimes idle instead of chopping during the first 60 seconds after a server join. Workaround: chop one log yourself to wake them up; they will then chop continuously.
- Legendary trees refuse to regrow in biome three. A small number of biome-three plots register as biome two after a rebirth, which prevents Legendary trees from respawning. Workaround: leave the server and rejoin; the plot re-registers as biome three on the next load.
- Customer icon does not refresh after a Gold 5x round. The icon can stay on the 5x badge for 30 to 60 seconds after the round closes, which causes players to bank for a non-existent round. Workaround: ignore the icon and sell at the next real flash.
- Rebirth Patron round triggers on wrong save. Players with multiple saves sometimes see the Patron round trigger on a save that has not yet rebirthed. The Patron sells at the base rate instead of 8x. Workaround: leave the server and rejoin; the round triggers correctly on the next spawn cycle.
Bugs fixed in the most recent patch
The most recent patch (which carried the [UPDATE] title suffix) fixed three verified bugs:
- Mythic badge did not award after rebirth. The badge was being awarded to a non-existent profile slot. Fixed in the patch that shipped the [UPDATE] title. Players who completed the second tutorial before the patch must rebirth again to earn the badge.
- Master Logger doubled chop animation. The Master Logger was chopping twice per second instead of once, which caused log duplication. Fixed by reducing the Master Logger’s animation rate to match the Apprentice’s. No economic impact.
- Customer bonus icon overlapped the player avatar. The icon was rendering on top of the player model in the main yard. Fixed by moving the icon to the upper-left of the HUD. Cosmetic only.
Bugs fixed in earlier patches
The [BUG FIXES] title patch fixed the following bugs:
- Offline growth capped at 4 hours. Players who logged off for more than 4 hours were returning to the maximum offline payout. The cap was lifted in the [BUG FIXES] patch. The Offline progress page covers the new curve.
- Rebirth multiplier did not stack on the customer bonus. Rebirthed players were earning the same cash during a Gold 5x round as fresh players. The fix stacked the multiplier on the bonus round, which is the reason the speed-run builds on the Best player builds page now target rebirth 3.
- Auto-Sell pass fired during the bonus round. The Auto-Sell pass was selling logs at the base rate during bonus rounds. The fix adds a 1-second delay that waits for the bonus multiplier to register. The Game passes worth page covers why the fix made Auto-Sell slightly better.
How to report a new bug
The Carve Wood developer reads bug reports through the in-game feedback button. To report a new bug:
- Trigger the bug in a controlled way. Try to reproduce it twice in the same session.
- Note the exact steps that triggered the bug, the server time, your current rebirth count, and your current biome.
- Open the feedback button on the main HUD and paste the steps in the description.
- If the bug persists for two patches, post it on the Carve Wood community Discord with the same steps and your player ID. The developer occasionally replies on Discord but rarely on the in-game feedback channel.
How the patch cycle works
The Carve Wood patch cycle is approximately every 14 to 21 days, with hot-fixes for the worst bugs in between. The Update log page tracks every patch since launch, and the What to expect next page lists the datamined features that the developer has hinted at for the next patch.
