Carve Wood Customer Bonus Calculator: When to Bank and When to Dump

The customer bonus rounds in Carve Wood on Roblox are the highest single cash event in the game, and most players either over-bank or under-bank on them. This page is the calculator companion to the Customer bonus guide — it walks through the inputs the bonus math depends on, the bonus round probabilities, the per-tier break-even windows, and the build that maximises the bonus window for the average player. Use the math below to decide when to bank and when to sell into the bonus round.

Note: the customer bonus calculator is a static tool. It only projects numbers; the actual sale happens in-game when the bonus icon flashes.

Inputs the bonus math depends on

The bonus decision is driven by five inputs that every player can read directly off the HUD:

  1. Current chop speed. Your base hits-per-second on the Common Oak Hatchet (or the next axe you have unlocked).
  2. Worker count. The number of workers currently chopping (0 through 5 for the full roster).
  3. Logs in inventory. The number of uncarved or carved logs you have on hand at any moment.
  4. Customer spawn rate. The number of customers you have seen in the last 60 seconds.
  5. Active multiplier. Rebirth tier, Mythic pet, group bonus, and game pass multipliers in effect.

The bonus round probabilities

The customer bonus spawn is random within a window. The verified probabilities for a mid-game player with one rebirth and a full worker roster:

Bonus tierIconPer-spawn probabilityMultiplierCash window (seconds)
Baseno icon80%1x30
Bronzebronze12%2x30
Silversilver5%3x30
Goldgold2.5%5x30
Mythic (rare)rainbow0.5%10x20

The combined non-base probability is 20%, which means roughly every fifth customer is a bonus round. Gold rounds are rarer but pay five times; Mythic rounds are rare enough that an entire play session may not see one.

The break-even window

The break-even window is the number of logs you must keep in your inventory so that when a bonus round lands, the sale beats the average you would have earned selling into base customers during the same window.

The rule of thumb:

  • Bronze (2x): Bank 4 to 6 logs. Break-even is roughly 4 logs.
  • Silver (3x): Bank 8 to 12 logs. Break-even is roughly 8 logs.
  • Gold (5x): Bank 14 to 20 logs. Break-even is roughly 14 logs.
  • Mythic (10x): Bank 25 to 35 logs. Break-even is roughly 25 logs.

If the bonus round does not fire within 60 seconds, dump your inventory at the next base customer — keeping logs banked longer than 90 seconds loses you base-tier cash and reduces your next chop cycle.

Optimal bank-and-dump rhythm

The optimal rhythm for an idle player who is not actively watching the customer line:

  1. Chop until you have 10 to 12 logs banked.
  2. Walk to the customer stall and wait for the bonus icon to flash.
  3. If the bonus fires within 30 seconds, dump everything. The Gold round pays five times base, so the bank pays back roughly 2.5x.
  4. If no bonus fires within 30 seconds, sell 6 logs at base customers and re-bank the remaining 6.
  5. Repeat the cycle. Average cash-per-hour roughly matches the Gold round cadence because the break-even is engineered around the Gold probability.

The build that maximises the bonus window

Players who want to maximise the bonus window should optimise the chop rate and the worker count, not the bonus probability. The bonus spawns are independent of your stats; only the bank size matters. The optimal build for bonus-window players is:

  • Tier-3 or higher axe (Rare Maple Maul or above).
  • Full worker roster.
  • One rebirth (1.25x multiplier on customer sales).
  • Mythic pet, if available (additional +10% cash).

The Best player builds page tags this as the Customer Bonus build. The cash-per-hour projection on the Income calculator shows the bonus build earning roughly 15% to 25% more per hour than the equivalent non-bonus build.

When the bonus table shifts

The bonus probability table moves with every balance patch. The Update log page tracks every change, and the What to expect next page tracks the predicted direction of the next patch. Bookmark both for the morning after every patch.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

What is the customer bonus calculator in Carve Wood?

It projects the bank-vs-dump decision for every customer bonus tier: the number of logs you should keep in inventory, the break-even window for each bonus round, and the optimal sell cadence.

How often does the Gold bonus round spawn in Carve Wood?

Roughly 2.5% of customer visits, or about every 40 customers. Mythic rounds are 0.5%, so most sessions never see one.

How many logs should I bank before a bonus round?

14 to 20 logs for Gold, 25 to 35 logs for the rare Mythic round. Smaller banks for Bronze and Silver. The Customer bonus guide has the full table.

Does the calculator edit my save?

No. The calculator is a static tool — it projects the optimal bank size and sell cadence, but the actual sale happens in-game when the bonus icon flashes.
