Carve Wood Time-to-Next-Biome Planner on Roblox

Biome unlocks are the longest gap between progression milestones in Carve Wood on Roblox. The jump from biome one to biome two typically takes 4 to 8 hours of active play, the jump from biome two to biome three takes another 8 to 14 hours, and the Mythic Biome unlock is gated behind at least one rebirth. This page is the planner that turns your current cash, axe, and worker setup into a projected hours-to-next-biome number, so you know whether to push for the unlock tonight or whether to delay until after the next rebirth.\n\n## The unlock costs\n\nEvery biome unlock has a fixed cash cost and a fixed unlock requirement. The full table:\n\n| Biome | Cash cost | Requirement | Trees unlocked | Axe requirement |\n|-------|-----------|-------------|----------------|-----------------|\n| Biome 1 | 0 cash | Default starting biome | Common Oak, Rare Maple, Rare Willow | Starter Twig Splitter |\n| Biome 2 | 25,000 cash | Master Logger hired | + Epic Birch, Epic Mahogany | Common Oak Hatchet |\n| Biome 3 | 250,000 cash | Foreman hired and 1 rebirth | + Legendary Pine | Rare Maple Maul |\n| Mythic Biome | 2,500,000 cash | 3 rebirths and Mythic pet hatched | + Mythic Ironwood, Ancient Cedar | Mythic Ironwood Axe |\n\nThe cash costs are flat — the unlock takes exactly the listed cash. The hidden cost is the time to earn that cash, which depends entirely on your axe, workers, customer bonus rounds, and rebirth multiplier. The planner below projects that time based on your inputs.\n\n## How the planner works\n\nThe planner takes four inputs:\n\n1. Current axe. The base cash-per-chop of your active axe. Common Oak Hatchet is roughly 1.0x, Rare Maple Maul is 1.8x, Hedge Cutter is 2.4x, Ironwood Cleaver is 3.0x, Legendary is 3.6x, Mythic is 4.5x.\n2. Active workers. The compounded chop-speed boost of your current worker roster. Master Logger alone is 1.8x, Master Logger + Apprentice is 2.4x, full roster is 3.0x.\n3. Rebirth multiplier. Your current rebirth tier. 1.25x at rebirth 1, 1.5x at rebirth 2, 1.85x at rebirth 3, 2.25x at rebirth 4, 2.85x at rebirth 5.\n4. Current biome mix. Whether you chop Common, Rare, Epic, or Legendary wood. The mix determines your base price per log.\n\nFrom those four inputs, the planner computes the average cash-per-hour, subtracts any expected customer bonus multiplications, and divides the unlock cost by the projected cash-per-hour to return the hours-to-unlock.\n\n## Worked examples\n\nPlayer A: new save, starter axe, no workers, biome one only. Axe 1.0x, workers 1.0x, rebirth 1.0x, chopping Common Oak at 12 cash per log with 90-second regrowth. The cash-per-hour is roughly 480 cash. The hours to biome two is 25,000 / 480 = 52 hours of active chopping, which is the realistic new-player timeline.\n\nPlayer B: Master Logger hired, Rare Maple Maul, no rebirths. Axe 1.8x, workers 1.8x, rebirth 1.0x, chopping Rare Maple at 18 cash per log with 4-minute regrowth. The cash-per-hour is roughly 2,800 cash. The hours to biome two is 25,000 / 2,800 = 9 hours of active play.\n\nPlayer C: full worker roster, Hedge Cutter, one rebirth. Axe 2.4x, workers 3.0x, rebirth 1.25x, chopping Epic Birch at 28 cash per log with 12-minute regrowth. The cash-per-hour is roughly 7,000 cash. The hours to biome three is 250,000 / 7,000 = 36 hours of active play.\n\nPlayer D: whale build, Mythic Ironwood Axe, three rebirths, Mythic pet. Axe 4.5x, workers 3.0x, rebirth 2.25x, Mythic pet bonus adds another 1.18x, chopping Mythic Ironwood at 45 cash per log with 30-minute regrowth. The cash-per-hour is roughly 35,000 cash. The hours to Mythic Biome is 2,500,000 / 35,000 = 71 hours, but the rebirth reset happens before that, so the projected calendar time is the time to earn 2,500,000 from a fresh rebirth, which is roughly 60 hours of active play.\n\n## How to use the planner\n\nThe planner is most useful when you are deciding whether to push for a biome unlock tonight or whether to delay until after the next rebirth.\n\n1. Open the planner on this page.\n2. Plug in your current axe, workers, rebirth multiplier, and wood mix.\n3. Read the hours-to-next-biome number.\n4. Compare against your current play schedule.\n\nIf the planner projects fewer hours than you can play tonight, push for the unlock. If it projects more hours than you can play tonight, delay the push and bank the cash toward the next rebirth instead.\n\n## The unlock priority order\n\nBiome unlocks and rebirths interact. The right unlock priority depends on your current build.\n\nPre-rebirth players. Always unlock biome two before your first rebirth. Biome two unlocks the Epic wood tier, which is the cash-per-hour jump that makes the first rebirth worth the reset.\n\nPost-first-rebirth players. Push for biome three before your second rebirth. Biome three unlocks the Legendary wood tier, which compounds the second-rebirth multiplier in ways that no amount of cash-per-hour in biome two can match.\n\nPost-third-rebirth players. Push for the Mythic Biome as soon as you have 2.5 million cash banked. The Mythic Biome is the last wood-tier unlock, and the Mythic Ironwood + Ancient Cedar wood types are the only wood types that benefit from the Collector round at full 4x stacking.\n\n## When to skip an unlock\n\nThere are three situations where delaying a biome unlock is the right call.\n\nWhen the next rebirth is one day away. If the next rebirth multiplier is 1.5x or higher, save the biome unlock cash toward the rebirth fund and unlock the biome right after the rebirth. The rebirth multiplier compounds on the post-unlock cash flow.\n\nWhen you are at risk of losing your save. Carve Wood on Roblox does not persist saves across device changes. If you are about to switch devices, bank the unlock cash instead of spending it.\n\nWhen a code drop is rumored. Codes usually include cash or hatch rewards. Bank the unlock cash until the code lands, then use the code windfall to push for the unlock.\n\n## Reader cross-links\n\n- Want the broader cash-per-hour math? FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How long does it take to unlock biome 2 in Carve Wood on Roblox?

For a new player with the starter axe and no workers, biome two takes roughly 52 hours of active play. For a mid-game player with the Master Logger and the Rare Maple Maul, biome two takes roughly 9 hours of active play.

How much cash does the biome 3 unlock cost?

Biome three costs 250,000 cash plus the requirement of having the Foreman hired and at least one rebirth. The cash cost is fixed — the unlock takes exactly 250,000 cash.

What axe do you need for biome 3?

You need at least the Rare Maple Maul to chop in biome three. The Mythic Ironwood Axe is required to chop in the Mythic Biome. The full axe ladder is on the [Axe tier list](/tier-list/axe-tier-list/) page.

Should I unlock biome 3 before my second rebirth?

Yes. Pushing for biome three before your second rebirth is the optimal path because biome three unlocks Legendary wood types, which compound the second-rebirth multiplier.
